Default Problem

Right, i have washed my laptop this morning, and now when i am typing random numbers are coming up on certain letters i type. for example:

caps lock = 2
y = y7
t = t4

this will fix itself won't it?

Did you use washing up liquid or washing powder ?

some toilet roll, a bit of shower gel of top, scrub the keyboard and mouse thing.

You shouldnt have washed the keyboard like that, it might start working normal again when it drys out though, you can buy a proper spray for cleaning the keyboard for about a quid out any shop that sells print cartridges etc, so don't be so stingy next time

try going to control panel>language>keyboard & check the settings or remap the keys.

Yeah, computers and liquids are a definite

..... and any sort of sticky additive, like sugar or soap, will usually make the situation unrecoverable .....

(I did get away with beer spillage once, though ..... )
