Default Sammeth's House Project - Entrance Hall Pics Up

Haven't logged on here in aaaaaages. Been playing in sketchup and thought I may aswell do a house. I'm not going to be doing like a whole series plan or whatever, it's just gonna be the eye, houseplan and house itself, might do a studio after.

The Eye
The eye has a barcode theme. Nothing amazing I know, just a basic template filled in, but I needed an eye to get me in the mood to make a house

Spoiler:

The Houseplan
The house is in a more spacious studio lot. The garden is quite small in comparison to most houses, and is a little cramped, but the lounge/dining area is quite large to make up for it.

I'll start posting pictures of the house up as and when they are complete. So far only the entrance hall is. I have a few teasers I'll post

Entrance Hall - Teasers

Its nXtRender its quite a nifty little thing but can be a bit slow with massive detailed projects like this, the only reason I had it really was for rendering building exteriors (which it's really speedy at) as I does love me some architecture.

^^ Cool

@ Glenn lol my house is literally done now and I have to say it's my fav out of all the ones I've made. But it will be probs another week until its up. I still have studios to do and the really small details and then I'm gonna try and render it all.

Good thinking batman.

Right my method for posting pics is a two or three large ones just to try and show the whole room, and then a few smaller ones to show a bit of the detail.

Entrance Hall

Entrance door slides to the left to allow contestants in and out

Wooden panels follow the stairs down, with a large mirror wall on either side

A bright colour with neutral colours. No specific reason, I just like them :P

Two mirros either side of the house entrance door, just to admire yourself in as you enter.

Excellent. Finally someone who can actually use sketch-up.

The hall is a very good design and nice little callback to BB7.

I use a plugin (the one mentioned above) which has a facility to create mirrors .

I know its a bit late, I'll post some teasers of the living/dining area. It's not completely finished yet but these won't reveal any of the incomplete stuff anyway

Keeping my eye on this! Looks like its going to be a stunner. The amount of detail you have put into the entrance is great.
