To clear things up, the difference between "group" and "band" is primarily instruments. Just a semantic difference to cater for different genres I suppose but basically acts like the Sugababes, Saturdays, Swedish House Mafia and N-Dubz would be "group"s, whereas "band"s might be Paramore, Mumford and Sons or Kasabian.

To qualify for your nominations, all nominees must have been active between October 6th 2010 and October 16th 2011. This particularly applies to singles and album categories - their release date must fall between these two dates. Of course there are some shady areas - Katy Perry released her 'Teenage Dream' album before the first date, but released several singles between them. Therefore the singles are valid (E.T., Last Friday Night, potentially Firework) but the album and any single released before October 6 2010 (California Gurls, Teenage Dream)/non-single track would be invalid.

Of course I'm willing to clear any confusion in the thread.

The actual awards ceremony will take place some time early November, but first of all I need a decent list of nominees. You can either PM me your list (from the quote above) or just reply to the thread.

You are permitted 4 nominees per category, except for the single categories where you are permitted 8.

Preliminary Nominations close October 25th at 6pm.
