Perhaps because it's somewhat insensitive to sit there bragging about how many material thing she has in this day and age when people are struggling to just meet their rent or mortgage payments.

I don't think I've ever had a conversation with anyone when I itemised all my possessions, and I would be bored stiff listening to anyone telling me about theirs! The one thing I did talk about were my kids, my pride and joy, but Natalie makes no mention, go figure

Excellent summary Angus, it also begs the question WHY is she in there? WHY separate yourself from your young child if you don't need the paycheck? most people are VERY honest about their reasons for going in...The CASH and the opportunity to ressurrect a flagging career...Nat hasnt had a career for a while and allegedley she doenst need the cash so she must be fame hungry, or perhaps she wanted the experience which makes her a tad selfish in my eyes...

It did seem a bit daft, talking about what she had, but I think the point she was making was the fact that there was nothing she coud not buy, due to the fact that she had been in Eastenders since she was 10 and it had made her financially secure. As has been stated, it will not get her any votes, but is was just a conversation, not exactly a vote pulling tactic.

I don't particularly like Natalie but I don't think it's a big deal, loads of 'normal' people have macs and ipads, or an interest (books/ clothes/gadgets whatever) that they will splurge out on regularly. It's not like the macs are made of solid gold encrusted with diamonds or that she has 5 Jags, 10 Mansions and spends hundreds of thousands of pounds on flowers, designer gear etc
