Judd Apatow's "This is 40" - trailer. (Sequel to Knocked Up)
Quote:
The trailer for Judd Apatow's Knocked Up spin-off, titled This Is 40, has been released. The film is a sequel of sorts to 2007's hit movie starring Seth Rogen and Katherine Heigl, but will centre on the lives of Paul Rudd's Pete and Leslie Mann's Debbie – who were supporting characters in the first film.
The plot of the film, which has been written and directed by Apatow, revolves around the couple coming to terms with being middle-aged, as Debbie celebrates her 40th birthday.
It is Apatow's time back in the director's chair after 2009's Funny People and his daughters, Iris and Maude, return as the lead characters children in the movie.
Judging from the trailer, Apatow still enjoys including gross out visual gags, as Pete's character shocks his wife who walks in on him with his legs spread-eagled.
The film is set a few years after the events of Knocked Up and it is still unclear whether Seth Rogen and Katherine Heigl's characters will be making an appearance.
However, Megan Fox, Albert Brooks, John Lithgow and The IT Crowd's Chris O'Dowd will be starring in the film which opens in the UK on December 21. You can watch the trailer by scrolling down the page and clicking.
