So i got bored yesterday and decided to do some research on when Big Brother could infact be launching.

So i looked at the listings for Thursday 7th June 2012, and saw that there is multiple time slots empty.

9pm up until 11pm are empty giving way for a two hour Launch Show. 11pm-12am is also free giving space for Big Brother's Bit On The Side.

So:

9pm: Big Brother: Live Launch
11pm: Big Brother's Bit On The Side

However! Marcus tweeted that it wasn't the 7th, unless that was just a put off. So i did further research.

Again, 9pm-11pm is free giving space for a two hour Launch. But there is also a 8pm-10pm slot free. If this is used, 10pm is free on 5* for a hour maybe giving space for a broadcast of Live From The House at 10pm, and then back to Channel 5 for BBBOTS at 11pm, so something like this:

8pm: Big Brother: Live Launch
10pm: Big Brother: Live From The House
11pm: Big Brother's Bit On The Side

Does that make sense to you all?

Or, instead of the Friday night being 8pm and followed by Live Feed, have the same schedule as the Thursday night idea.

Sounds good to me.. But I don't think it will be the 7th... for some reason I think Friday the 8th is more likely?

I would love the idea of an hour of live feed straight after the launch! 8pm is a bit early for the launch though isnt it? Wont is clash with the soaps?

Possibly. Which is why it's just a idea.

Two hours is too long for a launch show if you ask me. And with starting at 8pm always comes the annoyance of pre-watershed censorship.

I'd opt for 8:30 - 10:00, an hour of live feed on 5* and then Bit On The Side from 11:00 - 12:00.

It won't be the 7th, that's less than three weeks away and they haven't decided the date yet.

They could have decided. The listings need to be officially announced the week beginning tomorrow.

Marcus is recording another promo on Thursday so we'll probably find out at the end of next week.

I imagine when channel 5 start showing persons of interest it could coincide with the launch of bb. Think it starts June time. Could be wrong though.

You know what its like, if they release thier schedules to early Channel 4 will go all out to steal thier ratings again by putting on some crappy Twilight film.

Oh yeah, probably seeing as C5 introduced him to their audience during CBB. C5 have some pretty decent shows comming up this summer.

It seems so long ago since they released the eye.

It's annoying to me that they are waiting this long to announce the launch date. It feels like forever ago we got the eye. It's stupid of them to wait so last minute.

Im sure the wildcard twist wont happen on the night.

Last time they did it they opened the phonelines for a week so we can judge what housemate would be best to go in and who they would rile up.

Like Josh from BB2. He was voted in for the Brian romance but they ended up hating each other.

Like i said they are probably just keeping the launch date secret so other channels cant put on something thats gonna steal their viewing figures.

I hope they do the wildcard twist for the first week anyway and then leave the 1st eviction till the second week.

I think getting Marcus to record 5 dates and leave out the 7th was a blind as that is the date they have set from the get go.

10th looking more and more likely, it's not June 7th either and probably not June 8th, the first wasn't on the list of dates Marcus was given to record for the advert, the second Marcus said he doubts and is not the provisional date he has been given so is probably not on the list either):

Would fit with the latest launch yet except last year thing as only BB1 launched later than June 9th not including BB12. If there was any date earlier than BB11's on the consideration list it was probably the 6th and I doubt they'd consider the 6th but not the 7th since moving from Wednesday to Thursday if there's too much competition makes more sense than moving earlier.
