It's not like it really matters for the casual viewer or the person who watches it for the fights and entertainment, as they will probably now hand pick 'entertaining' people to put in the house just quite like producers do for shows like Geordie Shore etc..but it's annoying in the sense the whole point of the show originally (an experiment) has completely evaporated

Explains the more open scouting this year. If a significant amount of the housemates they choose actually come through the online auditions process rather than the scouting then it's a good move, if this means that we'll only get one or two auditionees and everyone else will be scouted then it's a bad one. I understand the need to scout some of them in order to get people they wouldn't usually get and who aren't overly aware of the show but there need to be some who actually watch the show and care about winning.
