I Love Niamh’s Brick

Has anybody been there before or after the devastating earthquake that hit them a couple of years ago?
Just visited there before getting the tranzapline train across to Greymouth, and actually fell in love with the place. Still a lot of destruction and damaged buildings but most parts of the city are amazing and so beautiful. I'm really considering moving from Auckland to there. Also I stayed in a hostel that had been converted from an old jail last night, was pretty cool.
