The Voice v BGT
THE VOICE is set to go head to head with Britain’s Got Talent when it airs later this year.
The BBC talent show’s first live outing has been scheduled for the same night as the ITV show final, which will see the winner declared.
And the clash has TV bosses panicking over who will come out on top.
A source said: “Putting The Voice’s first live show up against the Britain’s Got Talent final is a bold move.
"But The Voice is coming back stronger this year and bosses are confident any teething problems experienced last time have been erased.”
A BBC spokesman said: “The Voice series 2 live shows will start on June 8. We aren’t aware of a date for the Britain’s Got Talent final.”

If this is true, first of all - what the hell are they thinking?
And secondly this raises a lot of interesting questions regarding both shows. This is exceptionally late for them to begin, the show should've finished about a week before really. Not only that, but if The Voice is going to begin at the end of March as it did last year, that's
ten weeks of pre-recorded content before the lives even get going...what on earth are they going to fill it with? I'm also starting to think this means the reports of only three live shows may be true...disastrous.
If BGT also finishes that week it's the week
after half-term and so will miss it just as it did last year, and unless they extend their pre-recorded shows then The Voice could end up with a few weeks head start.
Intriguing, but depending on how this pans out, it could be a disaster.
