Brand new track from Kelis, premiered on radio earlier, presumably a new single? Love the way the track builds throughout the song. Kelis is amazing.

it's okay. might grow on me. not strong enough for a lead single though i don't think.

I think the same as Shaun really. I like it I guess, but it doesn't really grab me straight away like most of her other singles have done. Maybe it'll grow on me as time goes by, but for now I'm not that wowed by this.

I like how she's used more live instrumentation with the dance beat though. It's almost like a confluence between her older styles and the house-oriented sound she embraced on Flesh Tone.

R&B boundary-pusher Kelis' next album is finished and is due this September. The follow-up to 2010's Flesh Tone has provisionally been titled FOOD. The album was produced by TV on the Radio's Dave Sitek, who will release it on his label Federal Prism.

The first track to be released from the album is "Jerk Ribs". (It has been misidentified as "Call on Me" some places).

'Food'? Odd title, but hopefully the music will be good. I'm just glad that she's put out a solid announcement now!
