Bloodyhell in tears here over Frankie,the white bull dog,i knew i shouldnt have watched this.

Just watched it too Kazanne, I really feel for Frankie, hopefully as they said, it progresses slowly and he gets a really good life for whatever time he has left.

Still chuckling at the thought of the Staffordshire crosses from a Staffie and a Jack Russell though.

Yes,it's a good show Joey,I'm just not good with poorly dogs and Frankie is so lovely but seems he got a good home to finish his days and loling at the staffie and jack Russle litter too but they're cute,Paul didn't help with Frankie as he got upset too,LOL what are we like,lets hope Frankies growth is as you say a slow grower.

I've heard that bulldogs have very serious medical problems because of abusive breeding practices.

It's not a film Lostalex, it is a TV programme with comedian/presenter Paul O Grady and he goes to Battersea dogs home and looks at the Dogs they have there.

No ,Lostalex a program called 'For the love of dogs',where Paul O;Grady visits dogs from Battersea dogs home etc?they had a white bulldog on called Frankie that had an in operable growth.

Howard Stern used to talk about his bull dog and all of her problems, and how because of breeding over centuries it's a breed that really should be allowed to go extinct, because those dogs often have such serious medical needs. But obviously the ones in shelters should be given a good life.

Selective breeding really should be banned. In dogs and horses and a lot of other species, humans really have messed with a lot of other species genetics just so they look nicer for competitions, unfortunately to the detriment of the animals.

I agree .some of the breeding is unnecessary and not helpful to the dogs,I have a King Charles Cavelier and he has awful problems with snoring due to the breeding of their squished noses,he also has a heart murmur which is also due to the breeding apparently,

You have a King Charles spaniel Kazanne, I love those Dogs.

Yes,he's beautiful Joey,but does have a few health issues due to his breeding.he is a RUBY and has such a lovely nature.he is on tablets daily due to his leaky heart valve.

Pedigrees often have more health issues than cross breeds,so our vet says.
He sounds great though, other than Staffies, King Charles spaniels are my favourite dogs and I also adore Huskies.
