I thought they were genuine too. She probably thinks there's a storm raging outside of the house about her being "racist."

Yeah.

All they showed was Dan comforting her but yet I read on another article she and Dan had an in depth discussion about the whole formal warning for racism.

Dan agreed it was wrong for them to do that to her and she then told Dan she wanted to leave.

None of that was shown just her crying.
