Given that she is 15 and underage - can he not be done for kidnapping - or something of a similar ilk?

Either way: it's not right - and I don't care 'how mature' she appears to be: the fact that she has run away - tells you she isn't.

Doubt it's love: chances are it's the typical schoolgirl crush - daft lassie heart ruling head - we've all been there!! Well..the females. On his part..... most probably lust.

But yes: he should know better, he's the adult (and techincally...he'll be classed as a paedophile will be not? I'm not sure?.... )

Still a bad move all round - as for her poor parents; he's not being very responsible there is he - putting them through all this worry and distress.

In the usual sense of things the fifteen year gap is not that big an issue except for the fact she is at 15 still under the legal age for sex.
He has also and will likely be punished for it, no matter what the girl says and wants because he has abused a position of trust.

Had she been 17 and him 32, the issue would not have been such a big one,she would have likely been left school then too.
I have a good few relatives where over 12 years difference exists in their relationships and marriages.

what can you say, other than that most of these types of relationships don't work out. Could this be the one that finally does? Who knows, but the person with most to lose appears to be the man as he could be convicted of sexual relations with a minor and no doubt lose his job. The parents of the girl clearly want her home from what it says in the report.
