Dexter is a lot nicer to watch without Callum in the house. I think that situation brought out the worst in both.

Having seen a bit more of Charlie's interactions with others now that Callum's gone, I can understand how he fell so easily into the role of counsellor/lifestyle coach. She pretty much invites it in all her conversations.

Seeing how comfortable Sam is with Charlie, and seeing how Gina sought out his opinion and seemed to take it and Dexter's on board far more than she had with Sophie and Hazel, I get the impression there's a lot of Sam's conversation and activity that we aren't seeing. Yes, he spends a lot of time in bed, but I suspect this has been massively exaggerated by the edit.

I also find I like Sam more and more. He says some damned unpleasant things some times, but he seems to have a good heart and a strong sense of who he is. He's also very funny sometimes and seems to read people very well.

Out of the twins, Joe has been identified as the 'evil' twin. But he is the one I find most engaging to watch Partly because he's very fast with his humour, and partly because he reminds me very strongly of a younger (and more over weight) version of a colleague of mine.

I have warmed to the twins again lately. They bitch, but that's all they do. They don't seem to be cruel as some other housemates are/have been.

The more I see of Sophie the less I like her. She seems cold and hard. Hazel too seems cold and calculating and cruel. If someone's down, you don't keep jumping on their head.

Gina wobbled in my estimation when she jumped ship so easily. But she sought some advice from people she 'knows' will not try to manipulate her and allowed herself time and room to rethink and then apologised to Charlie for her part in all that. I think it was hearing it from her fellah that rocked her own sense of what was going on in the house. She clearly has a vindictive streak, which shows most in her dealings with Hazel. But it seems a streak, not the totality.


I have decided I will be happy for anybody but Sophie, Hazel, or Charlie to win. I like all the others, for different reasons.
