That's a big signing that has been rumoured since the show began but I never thought they'd get her...impressive.

'Series three of The Voice begins in January 2014.'

The reason both series have flopped so bad is partly because of the terrible format, but because they insist on putting it against Britain's Got Talent. The first quarter it'll have barely any competition, except Takeaway when that returns in February. But even then they can just start it afterwards. This'll mean series three should be wrapped up by early April, just in time for BGT to start which is perfect.

Kylie is a v.good signing, but i think they need someone a little more relevant to modern music audiences. A bit like Jessie J, she appeals to a mass of fans now that the Voice will be looking to attract to the show. I think Adele would be a great addition, perfect combination of credibility and entertainment, doubt she'd be interested though.

The Voice UK has released the first picture of Kylie Minogue and Ricky Wilson in the show's famous spinning chairs.

The duo appear alongside returning coaches will.i.am and Sir Tom Jones in a first glimpse of the new-look panel for series three.



Speaking after her hiring last month, Minogue commented: "I'm very excited to become a coach on The Voice UK.

"The search for new talent is such an important aspect of the music industry and The Voice UK gives us all a part to play in that."

Kaiser Chiefs frontman Wilson said: "Who doesn't want to spend their Saturday night with Kylie Minogue?

"I spent last winter yelling at The Voice, and both Sir Tom Jones and will.i.am were total superstars. I'm just lucky the Kaiser Chiefs have rubber stamped my temporary loan!"
