Just talk about what each of you do (work, education), what you want to do in your life, if you're near enough the same age (I assume you are) maybe reminisce about old times (it doesn't matter if you weren't part of each others lives, nostalgia is always fun) at school, TV shows, music etc, look at the weeks news and bring a topic up and it may start a discussion (nothing too controversial though)
