Default Gay teacher has resigned after parents objected to his "Gay Is OK"

[Gay teacher who writes books challenging homophobia has resigned after parents complained they did not want him to teach their children
Dispute at Chilwell Croft Academy mainly involved Muslim parents
Andrew Moffat resigned from the Birmingham primary school in December
He said some Christian parents also complained about him
Challenging Homophobia in Primary Schools has been used in lessons ]

So the muslim parents didn't want this teacher (who is gay) teaching their children in case he infects them with homosexuality.

This is so blantantly homophobic I can't believe any school would agree to it.

In fact if the parents insisted on this I would have all their children expelled immediately. The parents must set a better example than this to their children.

In Britain in the 21st century it is not an offense to be a gay teacher or gay anything for that matter.

There's nothing wrong with being a gay teacher. At my primary school the head teacher was a lesbian, and she was married to the deputy head.

Too young? Surely learn about this earlier and they are less likely to question it when older? What do people want..for the kids to get to 14 year old and suddenly be told that being gay is something that happens sometimes..way to confuse the kid.

Of course they are, its just more likely that if you are a devout buddhist for example, you are going to focus more on buddhism than anything else..and be slightly biased in your teachings of other religions that you disagree with. If you have no religion, then its not going to happen
