Default BB8 Auditions in Crisis!

The Daily Record carried a story today about dwindling interest in the Big brother show.

Auditions for the summer show, Big Brother 8, normally attracts thousands of hopefuls, but this a mere few hundred hopefuls turned up for auditions in Glasgow at the weekend.

It would seem as if the Scots well and truly snubbed the Channel 4 show this year and just one hour into the second day of try-outs for the reality TV spectacular, the queues had vanished.

Does this spell the end of the Big brother format? Probably not. Haven’t people been calling for it to end for at least three years now and its still pulling in millions of viewers each night. Hopefully this incident was just a blip.

There'll still be thousands applying. I wouldn't lose sleep over it.

I doubt that they will struggle to fill the house with the usual wannabees and weirdos that they have been using in recent years. They might struggle to get some "normal" people to go in though

Doesn't seem like a big deal. I'm sure they will get some great people anyway. Besides, London will probably have a large turnout, and let's not forget the online auditions.

I wouldn't call it a crisis. There's going to be thousands applying elsewhere. No need to worry.

well I think there is a crisis.
It was me and a few mates going to audition. They now have no time for the show the consider it past it's shelf life, my media teach who has a picture of every BB housemate ever [UK] on her personal wall in her staff area, hasn't bothered with this years bunch of "celebs" so. whats going on?

It's losing interest, maybe they need to bring people who arn't so eyecatching at first.

It really depends on the type of people in the house. If not as many freaks are trying out this year, then that could be a good or bad thing (too many freaks - BB7; Lack of freaks - BB4)

I'll wait until the auditions end to determine if this "lack of interest" is true.

The Jade stunt didn't work either.the house got boring as she arrived with her boy that hardly utters a word, and mum that can't keep it in.
