Default 5 Days of London Tube Strikes May 5th (Strike Called Off)
Was just on the news

Members of the union will walk out from 9pm on Monday April 28 for two days
and again from 9pm on Monday May 5 for three days.

Soon London Buses will no longer take Cash (are you aware of that)
so you would have to go to a store that sells a pass
or pre -book on smart phone.

..but with the buses though, they will still have to drive the bus so it won't mean staff reductions...

There are No Staff Reductions
staff are moved to other jobs.
And some staff are happy to take the money
and sit down to watch daytime TV.

..companies always say no staff reductions though when they implement these changes but most of the time there are and not everyone wants to watch daytime TV...there must be a reason why the union aren't accepting this and are striking....

Yes The Union does not like the Future.


Those that are not stepping down
are able to move to other jobs.

The Unions do not want changes.

Will it mean changing contracts?.... my guess is yes. And as stated on the transport London website there are no guarantees that jobs are safe.
How often has that been said now? first with the refinery workers,then royal mail. now this...

it's soooo busy, they deployed those old routemaster buses on normal routes and one came to my area



it was playing music from about a century ago

Awww I love the old Routemasters, Salman. They should make the strikers pay for the overtime that they're causing. Reckon that'd get them back in the saddle.

I agree, sack em all and bring in new staff. The staff training should only take an hour or two , I mean pressing down on a lever and opening/ closing doors.

How hard can it be ?

Or How about all manual unskilled workers getting paid a decent wage like the tube train drivers, I think it's about Ł40,000 to Ł45,000 a year.

Not bad for saying "Mind the Gap".........a hundred times a day
