When Glyn says "He's just vanished" he obviously means that Pete hasn't kept it contact, i doubt he is jealous i mean a few months from now Pete won't be anywhere on newspapers/magazines.

Loss of fans, dumped by his girlfriend and probably going to release a one-hit-wonder, i don't see why he'd be jealous. You know, people 'popularity' isn't always the most important thing, sometimes things like watching a good detective drama can make someone happy, so i don't see why he'd be jealous..
