I don't think it's her fault or his fault. Just a miscommunication. Some people seem really serious when they're being funny and Gary is probably one of them.

She asked him if he was okay and he said why was she asking. Now in all fairness that could be taken two ways but the way I would take it is that he didn't want to be asked and that in itself was rude. Edel didn't nominate Gary for all the stupid reasons the others gave she nominated him because she felt miffed that he was offhand when she was only asking him was he ok

I don't see a problem with tbh, like others have said probably just a misunderstanding.

Gary does have quite a monotone voice so it's probably difficult to tell at times whether he is joking or not.

No - IMO Edele - like James, George, Stephanie, Ricci et al - is seizing on the flimsiest of excuses with Gary to find fault with him and try to justify their unjust dislike/hatred of him to the viewer. Her reaction to Gary's perfectly reasonable response was OTT and no real reason to justify nominating him. Her real reason - like that of her cronies on the 'bandwagon' is bifurcated; a) She is a non entity who wants to win, but recognises that the one true Star in the house is the biggest stumbling block to that goal, so needs to (deviously ) turn the public against him, b) She recognises the concept of 'Safety In Numbers' and has slowly but surely joined the self-elected 'in-crowd' - yielding to to the 'herd instinct' in the process and joining in the bullying of Gary in order to comply. By the way, to those on here who conclude that because Gary received 8 nominations and the 'in-crowd' are all making the same complaints about him, then that means he is at fault, I say; have you never witnessed school playground bullying? Have you never read of the poor decent 17 year old student beaten to death/stabbed by a group of drunken/drugged yobs for no other reason than the victim; "talked posh!!!!" Big Brother is a microcosm for real life. In the outside world it can take several months to discover that the 'lovely' ever helpful new neighbour is really a sycophantic back-stabber, or that the respectful, slightly timid new workmate starts to take liberties as 'familliarity breeds contempt'. In the BB house 'masks' slip very quickly - in days, if not hours - and the HM's true character is revealed. It is extremely hard to maintain a façade under 24/7 scrutiny. I agree that HM's like Edele have not so far been as proactive in the undeniable bullying that is taking place; she has no Conch in her hand and is not screaming;"kill the pig", but in true Lord of The Flies fashion, 'King' James could not 'rule' (and wouldn't have the guts to try to) if HM's like Edele did not support him.

Meh she hasn't got much sympathy and is impatient with Gary but I think people like her because most of the others are such a douches it's hard to find someone to support.
