Default Has anyone ever taken sertraline?

I have been put on this as apparently I am borderline for postnatal depression, which doesn't shock me given that I suffered from depression for years when younger..they always told me I would be high risk after pregnancy and I guess they were right. Managed to avoid it with Skye though so I guess thats a bit luck...

Anyway. The doctor told me I wouldnt feel any positive effects for at least 2 weeks. I have not stopped clenching my jaw/grinding my teeth since the day I started taking them, I had a painless migraine last night that I assume is connected to the tablets as I havent had a migraine for about 4 years...and around an hour ago (2 hours after taking my third tablet), this almost euphoric feeling kinda swept over me and has stayed ever since. Now I am not complaining, this is actually the best I have felt in a long time..but I am wondering if its 'normal' :S

Not specifically sertraline but yeah, the anti-depressants I'm on have given me this weird artificial buzz and sometimes they've made me smile even when there's been nothing to smile about Probably doesn't help that I've also taken benzodiazapenes alongside

Have you been off meds for a while now or...?

I was prescribed Sertaline for Post Traumatic Stress a fair few years ago and i know that exact feeling your on about that euphoria but with a really sicky feeling in your stomach like butterflys and sudden realization that you are grinning and clenching your teeth. With me it passed after 2-3 weeks but the first week or 2 i felt absolutely off my tits and actually a bit anxious that it was so like some ecstasy i had done in the past but it does fade and they did help.

Looking back they really helped but it was a bit of a shock trying to carry on as normal while all the time thinking omg i feel wasted while trying to do everyday things but it does pass.
