Default Who will be able to sell?

Out of the remaining 4, who do you think will be able to sell records?

All of them will sell to begin with, and I can see Ben and Ray possibly appealing to two different target audiences.
But it’s Leona I see who will be popular in selling records and will hopefully keep it up. Nobody from the X Factor has ever really sold records and stuck in the public eye as much as their fans had hoped, but with Leona I think and hope the case will be different and she might be the first.

No idea, which is kind of the answer really isn’t it? He’s not exactly making waves anymore or at the moment, but I think Leona could be quite popular.

I think they can all sell records, each individual artist appeals to a different kind of audience.
But in the long run I think it's Ben that will sell the most records, as his rock style records are very popular at the moment with people like The Kook, Snow Patrol and The feeling ect dominating the charts.
Leona is a great singer but her voice is to familiar in the music industry, its not going to sell as many records as I think Ben can.

Ben's got the capacity to do really well, but I don't see him being as popular as Leona. I've heard the odd handful of people say that her voice is familiar, but I don't agree - IMO she's in a league of her own with that voice! It's amazing. And it already seems pretty dead-set that she’s going to make it big in America.

Yeah, he's on tour abroad with Will Young. He has to have some operation on his vocal chords a while back which stopped him singing for months.

A few acts like G4, Andy and Journey South have done pretty well in the album charts.

I think Ben, Leona and Ray will all proably do well but I cannot see Ray having a long career as a recording artist, more musicals.

As for The Macdonald brothers, I really haven't got a clue how they will do.

The stuff he's doing now will proably be like the stuff on his album and that will be exactly what his fans want.

people don't even buy the winner's CD's once the novelty wears off, so that doesn't give Ray much hope

Some of the people who have not even won talent shows are still going strong.

Leona will be like a British Christina Aguilera, and look at her!
Ben will do really well aswell.

Ray would release one Xmas single, get to No.1, be forgotten , release a covers album get to No.56, do an opening of a supermarket, the next month his single will be 10p in the bargain bin.

McBores would disappear within 5 minutes.

Based on recent history of these reality talent-shows none of the X-Factor people will do all that well.

The ones who get recording contracts will get the usual one album hit of cover versions and then fade away.

We're always hearing how this act will crack America, and that act will be around long-term, but it doesn't happen.

But even Shayne Ward, who was meant to be the most commercially promising recent winner, only sold - I think - 400,000 copies of his album - not that good for someone who was promoted week after week on prime-time TV.

Only Will Young, Lemar and Girls Aloud have stuck around for a bit, and they were from when the concept was still quite new.
