Well personally i cannot help you as i have never really had to deal with facing a phobia
But the best way to do it is to think positively about it, if you think you can do it you will do it
also try not to think of it too much, do other things to put your mind off it and youll be fine

The only way I know of dealing with a phobia, is to do whatever your scared of.
If your scared of planes, get on a plane

It sounds stupid, but it does work!

I'm not sure but maybe look on the internet? Try relaxation techniques, or just mentally calm yourself down.
Play a game or listen to some music to try and take your mind off flying.

I hate flying to im dreading the flight to my holiday next year its 24 hours aswell to Australia i usually calm down though once i get on and we have been going for a bit i dont know if its the same for you but my advice would be dont get yourself worked up about it before you get on becuase thats what makes it worse. well for me it does and think to yourself that it will be worthit once you get there and also takes things on there to keep yourself busy so that you try not to think about on long flights they usually have films ect well thats what works for me, i dont like flying but i will becuase it worth it once you get there

Pick up a dog, or stroke one.
I used to be a bit weary about dogs.

If you get up close to one, and play with it, it should sort it.

These are these tablet thingys called 'Kalms' which help. My brother used to be terrifed and he took them and they helped him quite a bit. Now he has gone on planes so much he isn't scared at all. Confronting it does help! Phobias do suck though. I'm terrifed of dogs and a huge one was jumping up at me the other day and I nearly ended up having a panic attack. Try and stay calm though. Think positive and try not to panic cos that will just make the whole thing a gazillion times worse. I hope it goes alright for you!

I think there are solutions for planes yeah, as people have mentioned, so whilst that's a phobia there seem to be quite a few cures, luckily.

Since I have arachnophobia though, I really have no intention of going anywhere near spiders to come over my fear, not now anyway! I heard there are some arachnophobia classes or something weird like that, where it's all built up; i.e. you're shown photographs of spiders to begin with, then small lives ones, etc. etc. until you're comfortable with a tarantula! So I'd say, although I haven't tried it myself yet, the one way to deal with a phobia is to face your fears.

I was reading something the other day about tricks of the sub-consious mind. It was basically sayin, and it might sound silly, but the more you expose yourself to your phobia, through TV... books.. pictures etc, the less a big a deal you will make of that phobia.

This is a lengthy process though, it isn't a quick fix!

Can see it now!
