The last series, BB16, launched really early in May, and it seemed to cost the series dearly. Do you think the series will launch in May again or go back to the usual June Launch night?

There's no way of knowing yet. All we know is that it will be either May or June.

Rumour has it that it could launch in May again this year, however due to Emma being pregnant this could be pushed back into June.

I'd like a Wednesday 25th May Launch. Late May like the old C4 days. But due to Emma being pregnant and her baby due on 8th May, if they had to have a June launch, it should be either Wednesday 1st June or Friday 10th June (if they want it quite late like BB14)

Yeah it finished far too early last year, didn't feel right.

The impact of the football will be minimal I think. I don't think the cross over between BB viewers and football viewers is significant. And they could have it wrapped up before the Olympics easily.

Possibly not. BB13's ratings were OK even with London 2012. And do rating even mean that much?

But BB13 is the only C5 series to clash with the Olympics, and it's C5's second highest rated series.

I don't think the Olympics will affect ratings that much given it's in Rio this year so different time zones etc. With London 2012 during BB13, it was in the UK so it was inevitable that it would clash as it's the same time zone. With BB9, the Beijing Olympics didn't really affect ratings whatsoever.

Also, depending on whether the series launches early or not and the duration, the series could well finish before the Olympics or just about before it begins. For example, if they launch it on 1st June and the series is 66 days long like BB16, the series would end on Friday 5th August - which is also the day of the opening ceremony.
