Intriguing article about how China is buying up p!where from cash strapped Brazil League. They bought almost half the players from Champions Corinthians http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35479657 Now Chelsea's Ramieres has joined China and Liverpool target Alex Teixeira is rumoured to be heading to China we have to take the China super League seriously. Rumours abound that table topping Leicester got snubbed by legend Ronaldinho who has no club as he wants to join China for a lucrative final pay day. So he's turned down an easy opportunity to possibly end his career with Premier League title to head to China. With news that Atletico Madrid Jackson Martinez has joined a prominent Chinese side Guangzhou for £31m I was wondering if Chinese league can become a force in footbal? Will Europe's supremacy be thwarted? Alot of players are mercenary and may realistically have given up ever playing or winning the Champions League. If you are talented play for West Ham, Southampton, Caens, Schalke, Hertha Berlin and are half decent you have no chance of defeating the Barcelonas, Reals, PSGs or Bayerns. Why not go to China, be a star player and get paid 2/3of what Messi is getting paid? Someone like Bony is not going to play reguaat 1st team football for MCFC, but he can double even treble his money in China or middle East. Southamptons Mane if greedy could clean up and easily get £250 K week in China no problem. Last edited by alex_front2; 04-02-2016 at 10:53 AM. |

But China has got bigger resources than Russia.
Some of these chinese clubs belong to billionaire consortiums and businesses and the stadiums make Old Trafford look like a school field. For example Jamie Vardy could go to China and pick up £200k week. He's about to ink a deal with LCFC. Once Leicester hopefully clinch the title he should really think about heading there. He's 29 so he needs to think about his future. He won't win the Champions League even if LCFC qualify so what's the point. The dominance of Barce, PSG, Man City, Madrid, and Bayern will mean good players at other clubs go elsewhere to earn top level money and a chance of winning The Champions League...of Asia. The EPL may have Sky money but the non top clubs like Watford, West Ham, Leciester wont get to the ,£100k any time soon. Vardy has been offered £80k week and is the clubs top earner. That's peanuts for the EPL's top scorer. The thing is LCFC Ahave a ceiling or a capmon wages. They simply can't compete with Liverpool, City or Cheslea let alone China. Players in the level of Vardy, Ighalo, Payet, Bolassie, Butland, Mahrez are great players playing at EPL standard "low" paying clubs. They are seeing less talented players at bigger clubs eg Depay, Falcao, Cahill, Wilshere, Darmian picking up megabucks and they will think ," hang on a second, I can earn close to Benzema, Lewandowski, Hazard level wages of I go to China." Why is Falcao getting £200k a week on loan whilst Ighalo and Carry get 1/10th of that? Harry Kane gets paid less than Adeybayor (he's basically has subsidised him) when he was cast out and now on contract at Palace. If I were HK I'd tell Spurs pay me £180k or I'm off. Great strikers are hard to come by so Levy will have to stump up the cash. Last edited by alex_front2; 04-02-2016 at 04:14 PM. |

Shirt sales, intra club transfers, merchandise, corporate hospitality, social media subscriptions, match day tickets, tours and exhibition games against Barcelona, the Chinese owners are shrewd businessmen they will know how to extract money. Plus the increased valuation of talented homegrown youngsters. With 1.2billion people I am confident China will produce a batch world class players. The president has ordered soccer to be on school curriculum and there is a China football academy with 50 pitches. When Cihina gets their own Messi/Ronaldo ¥¥¥€€€¥££¥¥¥$$¥¥¥¥¥¥

They've been a bit ambitious for a few years now, can remember Drogba and Anelka going over there. Made some big money moves in January though, but I imagine players like Ramires and Martinez will be back in a top league within a couple of years after cashing in on their contracts.
Rumours going around that they've signed Alex Teixeira as well now though, so they can **** off if they've stolen our main target. |

Hey if they keep going after big names, good.
Tired of MLS clubs doing the same thing, allows young Americans to get their chance in club football. (Now if they switch to a open system, I'd love that. I don't think America has the resources to right now, but I think they need to soon with all of these USL clubs.)

Watford's Odion Ighalo has just signed a £30k week contract.
He claims he was offered £300k from China http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/foo...ell-dream.html Increasingly decent players from smaller clubs who have no chance of CL footy or higher wage structure will leave |
