Forgetting the ****ty production of BB these days, do you prefer the premise of BB or CBB?

For me, it's BB hands down. I just find normal people being launched into 'stardom' much more interesting than celebs being put in a house together.

Also, CBB can feel quite rushed with the two evictions a week.

And, I hate how people can have preconceptions of the HMs before a CBB series begins. With BB it's more of a level playing field.

I just generally prefer the idea of BB to CBB.

If someone was to ask to me this question ten years ago, I'd have said BB as it was the main event and overall it was generally better than CBB even if we did have CBB3 and CBB4 on C4, you then had BB6 and BB7 in the summer which were better. But nowadays, especially in the past two years I can't help but feel that CBB is now the main event and is like what BB was to C4. CBB's nowadays are generally better and each series is either good or topping the last one whereas the format of BB has changed massively (for the worst) since BB15 and it's not really enjoyable or the same show that made me fall in love with it back in 2004 when I first saw BB5.

BB on C4, CBB on C5.

But Big Brother > Celebrity Big Brother in general as BB is the main thing.

C4 BB > C5 CBB > C4 CBB/C5 BB (Both had two great series and the rest are flops)

Regular BB (but CBB has been more enjoyable by a massive margin lately).

I prefer C4 CBB to C5 BB just because it gave us CBB3 and 4 (and to a lesser extent CBB5). Whereas the only series I've enjoyed on C5 are BB13 and BB14. BB12, BB15, and BB16 were all truly awful and I'd take CBB5-7 over them any day.

Traditionally I always preferred civ BB by a significant margin but that's trash now and CBB is definitely the better of the two

I'm like this too actually. Nothing is better than the hype of BB in May when the brand new eye is revealed and the house pictures come through. The BB16 hype with the Timebomb eye and the house pictures was brilliant (even though the series turned out to be a sack of shit) But I do find myself getting excited for January CBB recently but not as much as I do for BB. Summer CBB I couldn't care less about.

I like both but the thing about BB and why I voted for BB in this poll, is the learning about the housemates as to not having any knowledge of them unless any are related to us or people we know.

BB, the traditional format of strangers in the house that are strangers to each other and to us... not because it propels them into stardom, but because it is true to the social experiment the original premise of the show was designed on

do I prefer BB? Of course I do. But right now as it stands, is it the better show of the the two? Hell no.
