In America they call it September the 11th.

I noticed the thread about Diana's death and seeing as it's conspiracy theory week, wondered what people thought about the September 11th attacks on the World Trade Centre in 2001.

America were at a stage where they were desperate to occupy Middle Eastern territory for numerous reasons and the supposed "War on TERROR" which is an everyday thing and has been forever, suddenly became a media movement to terrorise the west.

How do you view the attack on the world trade center?

Do you fear people of the faith of Islam?

Do you think the American government and the powerful media companies respect their population, given that they have been accused of taking such drastic measures to suit their own goals, as has been highlighted on numerous documentaries including the BANNED BBC Panorama programme and the famous film 'Farenheit 9/11'.

Farenheit 9/11 was such a popular film mainly because it highlighted the media's influence over world-changing effects. Once again FOX news broadcasting came under the spotlight for shockhorror.... twisting stories to suit the needs of their beliefs (Right wing republicans) and their Government.

The attacks just highlight the differences and misinterpretations of the Western World Vs. Middle East. I don't fear anyone under the belief of Islam because of it, although it's clear that similar attacks in the future are most likely going to be done by people with similar fundamental belief systems such as Islamics that follow the Sharia law to a tee.

This is another of those events that causes conspiracy theories!! Dint BBC world news report that the tower had collapsed 20 mins before it actually did??

Some theories have it that it was actually planned explosions that toppled the trade centres and not actually the huge planes that hit it and shattered its structural supports!

I think it was just a really sad day that some very extreme terrorists decided to make their mark on the world. It's such a shame that they chose to do something so destructive in the name of religion! I have had the pleasure of reading passages from the Koran which they claim to take their messages from and found it to be a beautifully written book that is mainly about peace!

I think its fake, but i cant be bothered to highlight the scientific evidence of how fake it is. I just hope people dont believe the **** the comes out of TV.

Everyone can pull evidence from some form or another, everyone has their theories and has experts to back up their theories, sadly I doubt we will ever all agree about something like this.

Those that have actually worked in the fields of engineering and construction can point out the scientific errors made by the conspiracy theorists on this one.

One CT made a movie called Loosechange, which is awash with inuendo, handwaving and material that is plain wrong.

Anyone who knows about controlled demolitions and how they are carried out will point out that those towers did not come down due to demolition charges as the CT's say.

The crash removed the fire protection and the fire caused by the jet fuel weakened the metal structure so the trusses failed and then pancaked. It did not have to get to the melting point of the steel structure.

There are numerous answers to so called anomalies which were covered in the BBC programme about it. I can also recommend a couple of forums where this have been discussed in depth.

I saw the show Sticks is on about.

I don't know what to believe. I think the CIA, FBI and Secret Service were negligent almost to the point of being complicit to the events. Plus, there is so much footage that we're not allowed to see. I believe there is no smoke without fire so I'm inclined to believe they know more than they're telling us.
