It is official and it has been confirmed that Celebrity Big Brother winner Shilpa Shetty is to take on a role in long running popular soap Eastenders.

"I am really honoured that the people of Great Britain have taken me into their hearts," spoke Shetty exclusively to The Spoof.

"I intend to repay the investment the British people have made in me by taking any job that is offered to me."

An undisclosed spokesperson for Eastenders has confirmed that Shetty has been offered the role of Nagda Bhamaliv who is set to dramatically take over Albert Square by setting up residence above Ian Beale's cafe and running her evil empire under the guise of a fruit and veg stall.

The guaranteed ratings grabbing storyline will also involve Bhamaliv resurrecting Pauline Fowler by transplanting a rotting cabbage where her face used to be.

"She will be a lot easier on the eye than before." stated Gregory Simmons, the undislosed spokesperson.
