Default Are we becoming used to all these attrocities.

What i mean is are we not shocked anymore?

This latest attack on manchester is probably the worst act of terrorism the uk has endured due to the ages and sex of the intended targets yet watching all the news reports over the last few days there just isnt the shock or disbelief in the reporters voices.

Even people at work just seem to be used to it and not shocked at all.

Is it just expected now?

I think after 9/11 it's hard to be shocked at any terror act, I do think people were shocked by what happened in Paris at the Bataclan and shooting people in Cafes, but gradually as other terror acts have taken place Brussels airport etc I think it's becoming accepted as part of life now. The other thing I would say is terrorism is constantly evolving, a bit like cyber crime as soon as you think you have one aspect covered, like checking people into venues, now they will have to rethink exiting venues, but then they will evolve again and hit people in another way

Personally speaking it's the most upset I've been regarding terrorist attacks, but I think that might be more because I used to live in Manchester and have friends there, so the connection with the city, the initial panic that people I know might have been hurt etc, I've felt far more emotional than I remember being at past terrorist attacks, and so hearing about the victims and seeing the reports has been far more upsetting. But in terms of it being a surprise that something like that can happen, I guess it's not so much as it once was. I don't think things like this will ever stop being shocking and upsetting but like Cherie says it's more a part of life now than it ever has been so there's not really any surprise/disbelief like there used to be.

these will start happenning every few weeks, no one in power will really try to stop it, because the elite want open borders to drive down wages for big businesses, the deaths and slaughter are a price worth paying for merkel and co...they are sickos
