Default Rape fantasist ruined my life

From The Sun

A TEENAGE girl who ruined a cabbie’s life when she falsely accused him of rape was jailed for four months yesterday.

The 17-year-old claimed ex-cop Aftab Ahmed attacked her when she was driven home drunk after a night out.

She kept up the story for 14 MONTHS, during which Aftab lost his livelihood, had to sell his home and was shunned by friends.

She only admitted she was lying when her trial for perverting the course of justice was about to begin and she finally pleaded guilty.

Her lies cost the taxpayer £6,000.

Aftab’s ordeal began in January last year as the girl’s sister and friends approached him in Bradford and paid him to take her home.

She was sick six times on the journey and was too drunk to give directions.

When the 44-year-old dad of two finally found her home he was so concerned for her that he left her in the care of neighbours.

But the girl, who cannot be named, later claimed she felt a pain in her groin and called police, claiming she was sexually assaulted, Bradford Youth Court heard.

She realised her mistake as she sobered up, but kept up the sham — even taking cops to the “attack” venue.

Prosecutor Duncan Wilcock said: “Mr Ahmed was arrested in front of his family and endured a degrading medical examination. He was freed on police bail, but had his taxi licence revoked.”

Edward Renvoize, defending, said his client was deeply sorry. He said: “It was immaturity.”

Aftab, a politics graduate from Kashmir, is driving again but refuses to work nights. He added: “Four months isn’t long enough — that girl destroyed my life.

“The accusations impacted my wife and kids too. To be accused of rape is the most serious crime in my religion of Islam. No one wants to talk to me.”

District Judge David Thomas told the girl: “What you did had disastrous consequences.”

I hate it when women do this. They can ruin a man's life, and it makes it all the harder for genuine attack victims to be taken seriously.

The annoying thing is it makes it more difficult for women who have really gone through this to be taken seriously. Taking a rape case forwards is difficult enough for women without silly little girls like this making things harder for them. I get so angry at people like this no matter what their age. What would motivate someone to make something like this up

Also the poor guy who was falsley accused, how long is it going to take him to re-build his life. He will find it difficult to trust people and will no be untrusting of authority

It's absolutely appalling that some people do stuff like this. Although the woman was drunk at the time, you would've thought she'd admit everything afterwards - but to keep it up for 14 months - absolutely shocking! 4 months just doesn't seem to cover it. I feel terrible for the man, he must've gone through an awful lot throughout the ordeal - but I wish him the best of luck for the future, hopefully he can get his life back on track now!

Is was a nighmare alright. There was an episode of Law and order dedicated to a clarly copied story. The fact that she took off with the fund alos higlights how deep everybody was into the case. It's amazing that one silly little girl can cause so much trouble. BTW Al Sharpton is a tw*t.

It's the lives of everyone involved that it affects.

If they could walk in the shoes of a rape victim for just one day and know that they will never, ever be the same person again they wouldnt be so quick to make up rubbish like this. They have no idea the shame people feel, the fear people experience every day, the silly things people do to just cope.

Arrggghh it makes me so angry
