Default Gemma: Put me on Strictly, or else!

Quote:
Gemma Collins is backing away from her threat to sue the BBC over her on-stage tumble at Radio 1's Teen Awards, although she does have one request for the Beeb.

The TOWIE star had the unfortunate distinction of falling through a hole in the stage while presenting the Best TV Show Award at the Wembley SSE Arena in October, unintentionally spawning a wealth of viral videos.

Despite laughing off the gaffe on-air shortly thereafter, Gemma later accused the BBC staff of negligence for not properly briefing her on the layout of the stage — claims which the BBC denied.

In the latest issue of OK! Magazine, the GC was back to seeing the funny side of the incident even though she was aware of how lucky she'd been to escape any injury.

"Everyone around me is on Fall Alert now," she quipped. "I've changed my shoes and gone for a thicker heel! I never used to look where I was going.

"Now someone checks out the area before I arrive to make sure there's nowhere for me to fall! It was bloody painful. I'll never ever live it down. I was laughing so much I wet myself!"

While Gemma chuckled at the footage of herself tumbling off stage, her mum had the opposite reaction when she saw the viral videos.

"When my mum watched the video she started crying and I was like: 'It's hilarious!," Gemma remembered. "She said: 'No, that's ******ing serious.' I was like: 'The GC is here! She's not dead'.

"If I'd done it on purpose I would have jumped onto a nice cushioned trampoline! I'm not going to sue the BBC. I'd like to do Strictly Come Dancing."

Somebody get Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman on the phone, stat! Read the full story in this week's OK! Magazine - out today (December 5).
