BB doesn't wait for Ofcom

CHANNEL 4 has been criticised for starting the new series of Big Brother 8 ? before Ofcom?s findings on the Celebrity Big Brother race row are revealed.

It will be hard for BB bosses to learn any lessons from the watchdog's report on the apparent racist bullying of Shilpa Shetty by Jade Goody and others as it might not even be released before the BB8 launch date of May 30.

Ofcom said it was ?aware of the benefits? of revealing it?s verdict on the row ? which prompted 46,000 complaints ? before next week.

Channel 4 is rumoured to be reluctant to publish it?s own review before the Ofcom verdict comes out ? though it has said that the new series has been influenced by the report.

Labour MP Keith Vaz said: ?I am astonished that Channel 4 is to proceed with a new series of Big Brother before Ofcom has produced its report into the lamentable way with which they dealt with the complaints in the last series.?
