No. Not in a particularly passionate way, just in a "completely disinterested by them in every imaginable way" way. And also a little bit of an "I begrudge how much money they cost the taxpayer" way.

No. They're honestly nothing more than celebrities in my eyes

The whole idea doesn't sit right with me to be honest, that one family can sit on so much what is really public money of old, and the palace for example is still funded by the public.

It contradicts the kind of meritocratic society we're meant to live in

Yeeees, but I'd give public money only to the monarch, the rest should support themselves. Plus security for the monarch's immediate family should be paid by the state.

Tbf, if there's a ceremonial head of state like in the UK, monarchy is much better solution than periodic elections of some distiguished old coot.

i detest the old royal establishment that the queen was clinging on to for dear life up to the point where Diana died and she realised if she didn't wise up she would be out on her ass. I think royalty will be much more accessible in a generation or two, but not yet.

I feel sorry for them, their life's are not really their own, duty comes first.
