Want people's opinions on this when I was growing up me and my friends, not a lot of us, just the few of us would always hang out we have been through so much together as you can imagine from being children up until being adults, we are all grown up now, I have since got married and had kids but stuck close to them constantly inviting them round to show them I can still be best mates with them(all girls by the way I haven't really had lad mates) but the past year or so my sister(6 yeas older than me also married with kids) has decided that she wants to be close friends with them so they always have her round and vice versa it happens all the time and me and my wife are never invited to their gatherings even though we feel bad if we don't invite any of them to ours. It happened again last night where my family was left out along with my other sister and family. I must point out these close friends I have are actually my cousins but I have always viewed them like sisters and they were my best mates too. When I see them they are friendly with us but I sense a lot of fakeness and they even slag off my sister all the time(the one that invites them round all the time)

Next week they are all going on a friends holiday together abroad and yet again have left us out

So what should I do?

Do I confront them about it

Do I avoid them

Am I overreacting?

Need advice as it's getting upsetting now as don't really have a lot of other friends as I say I have always been close to them until my sister decided to break us all

It sounds like they're not good people to be around if they're gonna move on as quick as that and be petty. Confronting them out of the Blue could make things worse so only do that if they bring it up, or it's brought up in any way at all.

On the other hand they might be thinking that because you have a wife and kids you wouldn't want to do things with them.

Was thinking that but one of my cousins is also married and my sister is married with kids but my kids are pretty young so maybe they think we can't get out of the house that much whereas they all can and can still go out on nights out etc. I think they just don't really like us anymore they give off the vibe they think they are better than us which annoys me because it's uncalled for. Anyway I'm sure it will sort itself out its just upsetting to get pied off like that
