He was able to bid 150 on immunity, but not 250 and then Tomasz won. So he had somewhere around 200 coins (before the party).

I think its lews's sense of humour. he isnt bothered about the coins & found it really funny to bid for everything & in doing so the others had to bid higher than they would have liked. you wouldnt get selfish tomasz using his massive amount of coins for anyone else other than himself. and a lot of the others are hanging on to theirs as if its a matter of life or death. I love lewis's tongue in cheek attitude
