If they'd have let us choose before the series began then that would be okay

But midway through the series when it's clear it's designed to save an individual is bad production

I agree with you. I'd have preferred VTS from the start, but don't think it should change part way through. Like you say, it is designed to save a particular housemate and that pees me off as it's manipulation. Disappointing move on producers' part.
