If C5 had renewed, the plan was that CBB would happen in March - avoiding Dancing on Ice, The Voice etc. This would also have given a longer gap between BB's November finale and the launch.

2 years off is enough i guess for BB/CBB, and i can see it going better on another channel than this vile nasty channel 5

i think every other channel can give it more effort than lazy channel 5
