Default Does anyone "own the Moon" ?
Let's say Elon Musk suddenly invented buildings within air bubbles which contain everything needed to survive on the moon. Would he be allowed fly them up to the Moon, and start his own holiday resort?

As far as I know none of the Moon is under anyone's jurisdiction.

John Locke would argue it's whoever settles there and works the land so... yes... whoever sets up base there first. They wouldn't own the whole moon, just the patch they're active on.

I do actually own a plot on the moon. I have a certificate in my parents attic somewhere. It was bought as a gift, not sure if it would hold much weight in a court.
