Story from the Sunday People
BIG Brother bosses are plotting to spice up the house by bringing in a new contestant - a GIRL. They fear the 10 remaining housemates are boring compared to some of the groups in previous years. An insider revealed yesterday: "There is a feeling that a fresh face will shake up the daily routine. "This they hope, will create more action, with potentially more enthralling viewing." Substitute Josh Rafters proved a big hit when he was voted into Big Brother 2. And four wannabes are now on standby hoping to cash in on this year's £70,000 Big Brother prize. Viewers will vote to pick which one goes in. But none of the contestants in the house has a clue what is being plotted. The insider added: "Bosses have some tricks up their sleeves to liven things up." ************************************************* Just tabloid gossip, do you think? If not, they're leaving it rather late - the longer they wait to introduce a new housemate, the less chance they'll have of being accepted. |

Well it would certainly stir things up, but how on earth would the new person cope with coming in so late. Although Josh integrated well, he said it was extremely difficulty.
No fair on the housemates and certainly not fair on the new person. I reckon they would be out the first time they could be nominated. Sorry Sunday People I think you've got your knickers in a twist. ![]() |

It may not be fair on all concerned but it would help to make it more entertaining.
I doubt BB is worried about fairness as long as the ackers keep rolling in ![]() ![]() |

I think this would have been a better idea maybe in week one, and the surprise room had the new housemate in that would be a shock!

No, I hope not!
I didn't think Josh being introduced was a great success. He thought he was disadvantaged, and so did most tof the others. Last year Sophie was ostracised and didn't really fit in despite only being a week late coming in, and Tim.......well, nuff said. I really hope they leave well alone. The best stuff is seeing the interaction between fundamentally normal reasonable people over 9 weeks of increasing pressure. There may not be much drama yet, but there is a hell of a lot just bubbling under the surface. Things are already getting right out of proportion. I am very hopeful. Leave well alone......... |

Jolly good

I'd give this one about a 2% chance of being correct.
The housemates never really fit in. Sophie must be one of the least remembered HMs in Big Brother history. |

The only housemate that came in late that even remotely worked was Claire in BB1. When she palled up with Craig it changed the dynamics of the house a bit.
The problem with putting someone into the house now is that they know how the show is being perceived in the outside world and therefore it affects how they relate to people. I think the house is getting interesting enough now without the need to introduce another person. |
