Default The Dangerous School For Boys

OMG how awful. I can't get over how they killed that poor rabbit. OK i have watched animals being slaughtered before & I eat meat so I'm not going to preach but that truly disturbed me.

For those who didn't see it a young boy (obviously scared) hit the back of a rabbits neck with the blunt side of an ax, he didn't hit it hard enough & the rabbit regained consciousness & started screamed - I was horrified, angry & really sad.

Bashing a rabbit on the back of the neck is not the correct way to kill a rabbit. It may sound horrible but if the neck is pulled it takes about 1 second. However a boy of 11 may not have the strength to do this, especially with the larger rabbits. Therefore I think it was something that should have been demonstrated correctly and not something for the boys to try themselves.

Yeah I don't think it is right at all, getting the young boy to do it. What is it teaching young people?

I'm really glad I didn't watch this programme. I have read so much about it since it aired and it seems that it was pretty horrific.

The thing about watching something like that is you can't get it out of your head for ages, and although I enjoy a good horror film or thriller, knowing that it's fiction makes it easy to forget.

If I'd seen the rabbit scene and it was as graphic as I have read it being described, then I'm pretty sure I would still be having nightmares about it.
