GERRY is keeping a secret from housemates — he is landed GENTRY.

Student pals of the gallery researcher say that he used to introduce himself as “Count Gerry” at Edinburgh University.

He would go on to explain that his aunt was a Greek countess before their aristocracy was abolished.

One former student said: “He used to tell everyone he was a count. Everyone thought he was a bit of an idiot for saying that. It was attention-seeking at its finest.”

Gay Gerry used his well-heeled chat-up line on naive new students. The pal revealed the 31-year-old had a thing for first-years while he was doing a PhD.

He said: “He used to prey on freshers and was a bit of a slag. Everyone took the mickey as rumour had it he had a little willy.”

Yesterday Gerry told housemates that he liked Keira Knightley and Liv Tyler, adding: “I have seen some very good-looking women naked.”

Gerry moved to the UK from Greece to study 12 years ago and gained degrees in history and theory of art and an MSc in classical archaeology.
