Karen Quigley believes that pets do not look like thier owners - especially as her pet Elwood has just won an Ugliest Dog contest.

The two-year-old Chinese Crested and Chihuahua mix has been crowned the world's ugliest dog, a distinction that delighted the New Jersey canine's owners.

Ms Quigley said: 'I think he's the cutest thing that ever lived.

'The breeder was going to put him down him because she thought he was too ugly to sell. Now Elwood's all over the internet and people love him and adore him.'


Now that is ugly!
