[ITV has confirmed it is in early-stage talks
over a possible sale of its media
and entertainment broadcasting business to Sky
in a deal valued at £1.6 billion.
The company behind hit shows such as
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and Love Island
has said there is no certainty over the terms
or outcome of a potential sale of its media
and entertainment division.

It follows reports that Sky’s owner,
Comcast, is in talks with ITV about
a possible deal to buy the broadcaster’s
TV channels and streaming service, ITVX.]
