We've got Whiteladies Rd and it continues to Blackboy Hill ~ the Blackboy pub located on the hill changed its name years ago.

Whiteladies Rd came from nuns who were located there who wore all white. Blackboy Hill is from King Charles 2nd who's nickname was Blackboy ~ due to his mass of black hair , Lots of pubs were called the Blackboy, its nothing to do with slave trade or racism.

The issue isn't that that particular sign cost 189k, it's that it costs that amount of money to do that type of road work. Thats where the complaint should be (if it is true) not against the changing of the sign itself. It's pretty obviously an over exaggeration by someone who doesn't give a toss about who is offended
