[‘queer' adjective 1. Homosexual. Derogatory
from the outside, not from within. US, 1914′]

I fricken hate when Queer is included in the LGBT abbreviation, and when it's used in place of LGBT.

No-one really uses it apart from activist weirdos (and bigots)

It's just such an ugly sounding word.

It's an opinion in a blog. Nothing has been "cancelled." If someone wrote a different blog tomorrow saying that queer is positive, no one would write posts or start threads saying that we should all start using the word more often. Jumped up nonsense about nothing, really.

No-one can even explain what queer means, beyond "not straight and/or not cis", which is covered perfectly by LGBT.

It just means / meant odd ..

As in .. that was a weird thing to say ..
