Smile Donald Trump to net $3bn after investors approve Truth Social to go public


Investors approved plans to take Donald Trump’s social media platform public on Friday, netting the former president a paper fortune of $3bn.

Trump Media & Technology, the firm behind his social network Truth Social, has spent years fighting to land on the stock market via a so-called “blank check” merger with a shell company.

It finally succeeded on Friday morning, following a vote of shareholders in Digital World Acquisition, the vehicle with which Trump’s business has sought to combine.

Can you imagine the sort of pondlife you need to be to sign up on Truth Social? Like what sort of toothless inbred hillbilly you actually have to be, to say "I'm bored of the Daily Mail comments section, Truth Social is the site for me!"

it's not going to help him on monday when hee needs to cough up 400m as those shares cant be sold for 6 months, and who knows what the shares will be worth by then

it depends. Trump tower is mortgaged, so they can't just take it as trump isn't the owner. The same applies to a lot of his property
