Jade Goody Banned From Driving

Reality television star Jade Goody has been given a six-month driving ban after admitting a series of motoring offences.

The former Big Brother star owned up to driving her BMW with a provisional driving licence on the M1 at Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire last November.

She also pleaded guilty to driving the vehicle against the terms of her licence and driving with no insurance.

Goody, 26, also admitted two further offences of the same nature in March in Brentwood, Essex.

The reality TV star, of Chipping Ongar, Essex, appeared at Basildon Magistrates Court.


Did not have her licence long!!!

At the early stages of Jade Goody's investigation which has been in the Newspapers could have been exaggerated and perhaps misguided.

Naturally at that stage, those who may consider the article to perhaps be doubtful will naturally point out the possibilities of that actually being the case.

Anyone described as an "Apologist" would certainly look at those past articles and pay attention to what I said above.

Anyway, the mention that at that early stage that the article was definately a (lie), is not really the case.

But that early stage is past now and the story which was mentioned is actually true as it turned out now.

Jade Goody, Jo O'Meara and Danielle Lloyd have all been under a lot of pressure of late and in Jade Goody's situation it has been very bad, as the media won't let it go, neither will her haters, which are fairly commonplace.

Putting CBB5 to one side and concentrating on the offences, we shall look at them one by one.

1) Driving with a provisional licence.....Now, Jade Goody is able to drive and she had not got a full drivers licence when she was caught driving, so as that is illegal, Jade has been prosecuted on that.

2) Driving with no Insurance.....Now, Jade Goody is very rich and if she had an accident, she could well afford to pay for any damage, if she had crashed. But, it is illegal, Jade has been prosecuted on that.

3) Other offenses, Jade Goody has been prosecuted on that.


Jade has now got to pay out a small some of £1,500 which is not a lot for Jade to worry about and also, she is banned from driving for 6 months, which will fly by.

I am sure Jade Goody will learn from this and afterwards, she will be back on the road with everything totally legal

I would sum up her situation as "Silly", "Disappointing", "Lesson learnt now"

She parked in a disabled bay too and that gets my goat. I am registered disabled and have a blue badge which means I am allowed to park in such bays. I'm in my 30's so get looks from people myself till the crutches or wheelchair come out.

The problem is that Jade's actions were like so many other peoples actions and when I write here I've had to delete so many times because I did not realise how angry I was about this issue.

She had no right to park where she did but the facts are many people think they have the right to abuse disabled parking bays. They don't have that right and nor does Jade. Definately not now anyway as she can't drive - Or will she?

Reality television star Jade Goody has been banned from the roads for six months after driving without a licence and insurance.

The 26-year-old, of Chipping Ongar, Essex, admitted the offences at Basildon Magistrates' Court.

The former Big Brother contestant drove on the M1 at Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire, in November, and in Brentwood, Essex, in March.

Goody was ordered to pay more than £1,500 in fines and court costs and had 14 points added to her licence, resulting in the driving ban.

Philip Kelly, mitigating, said Goody made a "genuine mistake".

He said she had passed her test three years ago but had not applied for a full driving licence.

She also mistakenly cancelled her car insurance, believing the policy related to her home insurance, he said.

He asked the court not to give Goody a driving ban and said she was "totally dependent" on her car. "She is a single mother with two dependent children," he said.

"She receives no support from the child's father."

He said Goody, who recently had a miscarriage, needed to drive to transport her children, one of whom has "behavioural problems".

I totally agree. I would never dream of parking in a disabled spot. Does she think her "status" allows her to do this?

The "Parking in a disabled bay" was found-out and naturally, as it is a Celebrity, it ends up in the papers.

It wasn't a serious offence and many do this at shopping centres and Tesco, Morrisons etc... But like I said, hardly crime of the century, but the Media will add that to this recent event, because it is their nasty style & way.

Jade had a provisional license, when she was caught and she has been prosecuted for that offence, in regards to Jade Goody driving now, that is hardly likely.

Interest Rates have just gone up, remember

With her cash, she can easily make that £1,500 fine..

It seems bad, but in perspective of real bad crimes, it just isn't.

You need to understand what is being displayed before you "Spacebandit"

I have certainly pointed out how Jade Goody has been silly and has made an error in judgement in regards to the offences she has been prosecuted with.

However, I am not saying that she deserves any less treatment than, let's say "Joe public".

She has certainly had a stressful time of late, which you may have noticed and naturally, this may have been part of what has been involved in all of this small problem.

Fred West was a killer. Get things in perspective, so the debate is set in the right context of discussion. Polite suggestion, of course

I have to point out, that for every prosecuting team which is larger than life, due to CBB5 race furore and all that negativity, etc.. etc... There is indeed a defence side, which is only fair under the circumstances.

Saying that Jade Goody is a serial-liar doesn't really fit actually. I would say that in this instance of Driving without the correct documentation, etc.. and the offences in which she has been prosecuted under, may make many consider that Jade Goody has lied about something.

But beyond that, there is little that makes some believe that the word "serial" should be next to "Liar" I might add.....

The same applies to the other descriptions which you have made against her.

The part about Jade Goody being a Racist, is quite a serious one and in relation to CBB5, the words and comments used by herself and the other two, were only construed by some to contain possible racial-over-tones. Don't forget Emily Parr She did say a recognised racist word, but somehow, it was treated differently.

Jade Goody has been banned for driving and the incident is only worth £1,500 in court. Nobody was hurt or killed. I state that Jade Goody will more than likely have her money well invested and due to interest rates rising, and in relation to the amount of the fine, a meer £1,500 it will be a small price to pay, but Jade Goody will still get everything in order, next time, when she hits the road again.

I chose to separate that from this line of enquiry. But the Parking Bay incident. That is a Disabled Parking Bay is a regular problem, which happens all the time from Joe Public and isn't really fair, naturally. But, on that one day, Jade Goody did that and the Police didn't get involved, at least, I didn't think so.

Regarding being above the law, "in that respect", I can't see what the Disabled Parking bay has got to do with her Court case? It was in relation to Driving License & Insurance, etc...

Nobody is above the law and Jade Goody has been prosecuted, which I have pointed out and what I have also said about the situation.

The Racist CBB5 furore has been legally sorted. Ofcom have told Channel 4 "What's what!", that is Andy Duncan's job to deal with and he has.

In relation to Jade Goody and your comment, it just doesn't hold too much water now. But at the time, it appeared to sound worse, but it is dissipating bit by bit and Jade Goody is looking for a comeback, which is looking more likely, especially if the Newspapers lay-off....

It appears now, that Jade Goody told a lie in regards to the Driving incident, but many drivers have told lies at some time or another. In regards to the "illness" thingy, I shall reserve judgement on that doubtful possibility. Regarding her children, it is still not good enough to trust Newspapers. The outcome of the courtcase has been passed onto us, but the stories beforehand just don't still hold enough water.

I point out important observations and the facts we know to be true. It is no good just hating Jade Goody and looking desperately to find something which is just not there.

Naturally, every Celebrity will have a fanbase and importantly, a defence. But there is just too much speculation flying around and sound clarification speaks volumes to anyone who has thought wrongly,ie:- the prosecution
