Yesterday Amanda, Sam, Gerry, Jonty and Kara-Louise were punished for breaking the rules about writing. Their crime? They had used eyeliner to draw symbols.

As punishment these housemates were told that they - and they alone - must do the cooking and cleaning for the House. But not all the housemates seemed to understand this shift in chores, and Big Brother decided to make sure there would be no further breaches.

"Housemates," Jonty read "as you are aware yesterday Big Brother punished Amanda, Sam, Gerry, Jonty and Kara-Louise they were told that they must do the cooking and cleaning for all housemates. This means that no housemates other than Amanda, Sam, Gerry, Jonty and Kara-Louise are permitted to cook, prepare food or clean until further notice."

Gerry smiled as his name was mentioned in the announcement.

"Big Brother would like to clarify what this means to avoid further confusion. Housemates other than Amanda, Sam, Gerry, Jonty and Kara-Louise are not permitted to make hot or cold drinks. And I did clarify that does include pouring yourself a cup of water."
