Default Jon the Monarchist

When questioned by BB about his thoughts on the Monarchy Jon replied, 'I would fight and die for the Queen at her very command, I know that sounds incredibly old fashioned'.

Well good for you Jon! I believe he would make a great spokesman for the Monarchy to improve their image.

Improve their image!!! Nahhh. not even Tickle could do that. There is one good thing that Jon is good at and that is creeping.

Jon Tickle OBE or even SIR. He'll probably finish up in the house of Lords with all the other premature scenelities if that's a word I don't know!! Never mind who cares :-).

I promise you I do like Jon really. I Just don't like him in the BB house corrupting the very principles of the show and in preference to others that have gone instead of or something of that kind

Yes give the man a peerage, so he can become Lord (Darth) Tickle of Staines !! He can then sit in the House of Lords with all the other err 'scenelities'

Having said that I'd much prefer him standing as an MP and becoming PM instead!! He could be the one to lead the Tories back to power again.

Oooh dear bananarama, you're trying to convice us, but I'm not so sure .....

I must admit I don't share Jon's views on the Monarchy. I think it passed it's sell by date in 1642, but we were silly enough to bring it back in 1660

My only reservation about abolition is that Given a choice between an elderly lady in hats and the likes of George W Bush as head of state, Liz the more harmless.

I certainly wouldn't die for her, and I am anti war in principle.

However, he is honest, he knows it isn't a popular view in his cohort, and his other ideas are open, so I will forgive him, OK?

Well. Jon has wrecked BB4 so why not let him wreck the country as well. Anyone stupid enough to be willing to die for the Queen would make an excellent MP of what ever party you can imagine. But he would be best suited as a candidate for the Raving Loony Party. Oh sorry that's what you suggested aint it

John has NOT wrecked BB4, he has MADE BB4. He has been by far the most interesting character - moreso by a long way than any of the four finalists.

Oh, I wouldn't go so far as saying that Jon has been interesting, LEE.

On the whole, he has alternated between boring me rigid, or having an irresistable desire to wipe the smug grin off his face.

Well, as you know Kaz, we have to agree to differ on this, cos I would say that Jon is interesting.

Sorry Lee. But i stand by what I say. To many characters Anouska for one were sacrificed to keep toaster Tickle.

BB4 would have been way out more interesting had Tickle gone out in the first week.

Anouska would have provided the love/Jelousy and Federico would have driven them to reactions as he failed task after task. BB4 would have come alive instead of being the dead doghnut that it has become.

So that's why I believe the presence of Tickle has wrecked BB4. That's what I believe and nout is going to change that.

I don't actualy dislike the man I just believe he is totaly too too dull for BB4 or any other BB.

Sorry Lee I usually agree with most of what you said but not this time.

The first time Jon was in by the time he left he was really annoying me and when he went back in he has been so full of himself and I am so glad that his pathetic attempts to stir up trouble havent worked. He hasnt done anything to liven things up since he went back in as he promised he would.

I agree with LEE.

Jon was entertaining to watch the first time round because of his quirky character and funny comments. If you look back at BB4, I think you will find that all the catchphrases have come from Jon:

"Massive pause"
"Controversial"
"The game's afoot"
"Let's have you then" etc. etc.

This week on BBLB, viewers have been encouraged to vote for their favourite clip of each housemate. Apart from Ray kicking off at various people, the other three housemate's 4 options were pretty dull stuff. Had there been an option to choose the best 4 Jon moments then there would have been a much more interesting choice.

Since he has been back in the house he has admitted himself that he has deliberately been different and indeed was worried about the public reception he will get tomorrow because of it. Everyone who has gone into the BB house promising to "liven things up" (Josh from BB2, Lisa from BB4 and also Jon) has discovered that it is a very hard thing to do, I, for one, am very glad that he's back there this week as at least Scott has had someone to talk to!

Needless to say I'm with LEE on this one.

Jon has easily been the best contestant this series. And it's not his fault the series has turned out a dud. That is down to Endemol/C4 for allowing dull contestants to compete.

It was also wrong to implement a vote in the first week of the show - which saw the loss of Anouska, and a double eviction halfway through which saw the loss of Jon and Fed.
